The iSCSI target you selected has CHAP enabled. The server or cluster to which you assigned the LUN is not logged on to the iSCSI target you selected. If you create a volume on the LUN and the iSCSI initiator is unable to use current credentials to log on to the iSCSI target, it may not be possible to perform volume operations. If this is the case, you must manually log on to the iSCSI target, and then use Disk Management to create a volume.

The selected iSCSI subsystem supports only simple iSCSI target configuration, which provides automatic target management and LUN assignment. If you create a volume on the LUN and the iSCSI initiator is not logged on or is unable to use current credentials to log on to the iSCSI target to which the iSCSI subsystem assigns the LUN, it may not be possible to perform volume operations. If this is the case, you must manually log on to the iSCSI target, and then use Disk Management to create a volume.

Unable to find Virtual Disk Service (VDS) or any VDS hardware providers installed on the computer. To provision storage using this wizard, VDS and at least one hardware provider must be installed. Check the VDS and VDS hardware providers installation.

Unable to find any subsystem from the Virtual Disk Service (VDS) hardware provider(s) installed on the computer. To provision storage using this wizard, at least one subsystem must be available from a hardware provider. Check the VDS hardware provider(s) installation.

You can create a LUN on a storage subsystem attached to this server if it has enough storage space available and its Virtual Disk Service (VDS) hardware provider has been installed. This option will enable you to create a volume on the LUN and customize the reliability and performance characteristics of the new LUN (depending on the capabilities of the subsystem). For more information, see LUN Provisioning.
